Esports science is an essential part of UPEA's strategy for esports development in Ukraine. The research and systematization of knowledge about esports are among the main factors of its successful development. As esports science draws increasingly more attention in the academic circles, we are excited to announce that UPEA is preparing to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation with the National University for Physical Education and Sport. A number of meetings with the representatives of governmental and civil organizations are in the plans, too. 

Among the principal objectives of UPEA's Scientific Group is creating scientific and methodological support for cyberathletes by the end-2020. We are currently working in three directions simultaneously: psychology, pre-stress condition control, and neural analytics. Hopefully, our consistent and practical recommendations will become a methodological basis for esports coaches' work.

Meanwhile, we are planning to develop a scientific and methodological guidebook for vulnerable social groups participating in UPEA's rehabilitative esports programs like the Responsibility League. It will include rules and methods describing limitations and risks, as well as self-motivation/self-control advice.

We are also planning to conduct a sociological survey in 2020 to clarify the attitude toward esports as a cultural and social phenomenon in a variety of social, age, and gender groups.
